About the Professors:
David Epstein teaches bankruptcy and other stuff at the Dedman School of Law of Southern Methodist University. Although David is not a Methodist, he is a Southerner. Before coming back to Texas a couple of years ago, David taught at 15 other law schools (most of which were not in the South), practiced bankruptcy law in Atlanta with the firm of King & Spalding, and wrote a bunch of different books for West Publishing Company. David's "main claim to fame" is that he is a friend of Nickles.
Steve Nickles teaches commercial and bankruptcy law at Wake Forest University. He has taught law for many years (including at the University of Minnesota for a long time) but at far fewer schools than Professor Epstein, which means Nickles is better at keeping a steady job. Epstein, however, is better at everything else, including bankruptcy and friendship, which is why Nickles always listens to Epstein and you should, too, on this recording and every other chance you get.
