About the Professor:
Robert C. Berring is one of the nation’s foremost experts on legal research. He is the Walter Perry Johnson Professor of Law and Law Librarian at Boalt Hall at the University of California at Berkeley. Professor Berring pioneered a course in advanced legal research and has developed the acclaimed functional method of legal research that is often discussed in articles and texts. His dynamic approach is designed to make legal research both comprehensible and enjoyable. He is a recipient of the University of California Distinguished Teaching Award and has authored numerous publications including Finding the Law and How to Find the Law.
